Plum Park Farm Riding School and Side Saddle Centre

Riding School

Side Saddle Centre

Set in 100 acres of grass land with a fully established x/c course, we as a riding school are very lucky not only to use the sand menage but also have use of the fields. (weather permitting)

When I'm happy with the standard of riding I will allow riders to tackle some of the x/c fences under supervision. I pride myself on having small groups, normally no larger than 7 at a time.

I try to organise 'pony days' during school holidays where the children spend the whole day not only riding but learning
about the tack, stable management and day to day owning of a pony. Games are organised on these days and lunches are provided.

Little in house shows are also planned mainly in the summer, i.e. show jumping or dressage tests. Score sheets and rosettes are awarded.

Calvin - 12th June 2009

my name is calvin, I am 10. I have been riding with Zoe for about to 2 years. I like cross country and the school when we do some jumping, dont really like hacks but i go on them and they are getting better, last time my mum came too. I love own a pony days, theses are really good fun and the barbque is well nice. FLIN is my favourite BIG horse, BLITZ, KITE AND TESS ARE ALL MY FAVOURITES TOO. I have met friends when I go riding at the stables. Its nice of Brian and Debbie to let us see sheep, lambs, calfs and foals, and now the hounds, they are really funny.

Natascha - 24th February 2010

I just wanted to say a huge thank you to Zoe and all the girls (and Maddock of course)

I started riding in September last year and was very nervous, I had ridden a couple of times as a teenager but never actually had lessons. To start with I was terrified about falling off so when I had a fall, I was reluctant to get back on, thankfully, Zoe was quite firm and urged me to get back on. I ride with a lovely group at the same time every week, and we have gotten to know each other quite well. I look forward to Saturdays, although I ache for the rest of the week!Zoe is a fantastic teacher, who doesn’t let you get away with much, you feel like you are actually learning something new every week.If anyone is thinking of joining but worried they may be too old or unfit …… don’t worry, Zoe will not let you ride if she doesn’t think you are capable ….. and it’s great fun

A MASSIVE thank you to Zoe, all her team, the horses and the farm.
